[ toji drawls this out in greeting, waiting at the base of kakashi's place leaned back against the tree. he motions cain to come over to him, not all that fussed in spite of his words. while toji doesn't like long stretches of nothing, it's less about impatience and more about being bored, and he's been using the wait time to check up on megumi. toji has had patience trained into him, and he has it in spades when needed.

toji is fussed about how well he's eating. nobody ever has been before. not really. it makes his heart do stupid, flip-floppy things behind his ribs and in an effort to get it to knock it off, he pushes into the other's personal space and leans, full-body, against him.

he peers up toward where he knows the treehouse is, and then levels his gaze back in the other's direction. )

[ toji still isn't in a particular hurry so when cain gets right into his arms like that when he'd had every intention of pulling the little shit in once he was within arm's reach— it gets him off guard, makes him blink, trying to reevaluate the situation. and then he promptly stops trying to evaluate, because he's slotting his arms around cain's waist to cage him in, feeling the press of cain's chest against him as cain breathes in. toji steals a kiss from cain's lips before even beginning to come up with an answer, savoring the boy sweet and slow. ]
